I was so excited..I got Samantha's duster today, my first coded item! Boy, it was best then I expected, the hat was very nice, I loved the fabric of the duster and the parasol was just devine! Even my husband was surprised with all I got for the price! And shipping was super prompt! Thanks AG
On a side note, I coded isabel on Friday and the order STILL says processing..guess they wanted to reel me in..hehe

I am thinking about coding Sam's travel attire before 3/31. It does look to be a very well-made duster and is perfect on her.
Thanks for your review. I'll keep it on my list!

Congrats! It sounds so beautiful The travel duster is another item out of the catalogue that I'd love to code. ever since seeing it at AGP I've loved it.

Hi Popsie, welcome!
Its a very nice fabric,IMO..I cant tell what type it is, but its soft and IMO, feels like an actual duster would.

Thanks Sarah.
I own an antique linen duster myself. Mine is darker, single breasted and has clay buttons.
I really wish they had added a hat with goggles, which often strapped right onto the hat. We've thought about making some, as photos are easy to come by.

Lissie's cloak is not meant to be lined. The wool is felted so it keeps her warm and dry. I am sorry you didn't like it and Addy's coat. I have both, PM versions and they are lovely! If I could afford it, I would like a cloak like Lissie's in my size!

How interesting you have an antique duster! I think they just look so neat..
I have a long "duster", its made for when I ride my mare, its got the long slits in the side and its made of a Berber type matieral..Personaly, I think they just look classy
Wouldnt goggles finish samantha's look?!

Lissie's cloak concerned me mostly because I do felting and it doesn't seem felted enough to hold together on the edges. Curved edges tend to ravel most, and it's got them. It's held up for you? If so I feel better. The other thing was that I remember someone once saying it was lined, and how impressed she was with it compared to other coats, so I was expecting more. I own the pattern, so easily could have made it.
Addy's is so cute, but I was expecting either real wool, or something that at least had the same hand. I didn't expect it to be lined ( I think I'd heard it wasn't) but did exect better quality fabric. I know my fabrics and am often surprised in how much the quality differs down at AG.
You can make a cloak for yourself! I don't know how well you sew, but this is an easy project. There are lots of patterns for them and you can wait untill you have a JoAnne's coupon to buy the wool. It still might be very expensive unless you choose a different fabric, but you might also try ebay for red wool and see how you do. I've been planning to make my dd one, and have the wool from many years ago ( from before i had a dd) If you wanted to just buy one, they are sold at Willoamsburn and through their catalogue. They cost, as I recall, one arm and two legs though
